Requirements for a Pet Portrait
A selection of good, clear, close up photographs, is required
to allow Linda to produce the best possible portrait. Depending
on the distance from her studio, arrangements can be made
for Linda to visit and photograph the animal herself. If you
would prefer to take the photograph yourself, it is advised
to take the picture at eye level with the animal, with an
alert look (food usually works wonders) and facing slightly
off centre from the lens of the camera.
In some cases existing photographs have to be used if, for
example, the animal has passed away. This can generally be
rectified using the best attributes from several photographs.
Preferred photographs to be worked from should be clearly
marked on the reverse. All photographs are returned on completion
of the portrait.

Although these 2 Black Labradors
are grandmother and granddaughter, the younger dog has
a whiter muzzle. To make the age difference look more obvious, Linda was asked to paint Sophie without the grey and the grandmother with just a few highlights! |

Extra Services Available
Framing
Either the customer or Linda can choose the type of mount and frame. It is advisable, however, that customers choose a frame to suit the painting and not necessarily to match décor, as the wrong frame can compromise the overall look of a painting.
The cost of a frame will depend on size, type of wood and postage, which will only incur charges required.
Greeting Cards
On completion of the portrait, it is possible to purchase personalised greeting cards.
These will feature your portrait on the cover and your preferred message inside. Each card comes with an envelope
and individually sealed in transparent plastic.
These are available at £1.20 each.
Deposit
A 30 % deposit is required once an order has been made.
